Who we are
This website is operated by Alif Accounting and Tax Consultants Limited (company number 16308824), registered office Unit 2b, Listers Mill, Heaton Road, Bradford, West Yorkshire, BD9 4SH, United Kingdom (“Alif”, “we”, “us”). We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have, in line with the UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
What we collect
When you submit our contact form, we collect:
- Your full name
- Your email address
- Your phone number (if you provide one)
- The service you’re enquiring about (if selected)
- The message you send us
- A record that you gave consent to be contacted about your enquiry
If you consent to analytics and advertising cookies, we also collect basic technical and usage data (such as pages visited and device type) via the tools described below.
How we use your data
We use enquiry details to respond to your message and, where relevant, to discuss the services you’ve asked about. Our lawful basis for this is your consent, given when you submit the form, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries sent to us. We do not use contact-form data for marketing unless you separately opt in.
Who processes your data
Contact-form enquiries are sent by email using Resend, our email-delivery processor. Resend processes the message contents solely to deliver your enquiry to us and does not use it for any other purpose. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing.
Cookies and consent
Essential cookies that keep the site working are always on and require no consent. Everything else — including analytics (Google Analytics 4) and advertising measurement (Meta Pixel) — only loads if you accept non-essential cookies in the banner shown on your first visit. If you decline, or haven’t yet made a choice, those tools do not load and no analytics or advertising script or network call happens. You can withdraw consent at any time; this takes effect from your next page load.
Analytics and advertising
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site, and the Meta Pixel to measure the effectiveness of our advertising. Both are gated behind the cookie consent banner and will not run until you accept.
Data retention
We keep contact-form enquiries for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you and, if you become a client, as part of our client records in line with our professional and regulatory obligations. We do not keep enquiry data indefinitely once it is no longer needed.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask to see, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to ask for a copy of it in a portable format. Contact us at contact@alifconsulting.co.uk to make a request.
Complaints
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your personal data, please contact us first so we can try to put things right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk.
